Where are you from originally and what is your background?
I am originally from Maine - let's just say I was there since the 'beginning' until 1995, when my husband Lair and I decided to move to California. About 5 years ago, when we started to think about moving back to the east coast , our priorities were to find someplace we could see ourselves in 'forever' and we wanted to be by the water. Researching online for the best places to retire,we were lucky enough to find the Tri- Lakes Area. Aside from being an extremely desirable retirement area, it features 3 beautiful lakes. And here we are!
When we arrived, we knew it was a priority to get to know the area - fast. My mother was Scottish, and I remember when I was growing up I read a book that described Scots as 'having a compass in their heads'. That's the best way I can explain how I know the Tri-Lakes area so well - my inner compass pointed me in the right direction, and helped me uncover the many special places that this area is known for.
What are some of your accomplishments?
I have a passion for renovating and refurbishing houses - over 25 altogether! One of my proudest accomplishments was a home in Damariscotta, Maine that dated from 1754. Refurbishing those houses has given me the ability to visualize what is possible with the homes I sell. One of my talents is helping clients see beyond 'other peoples stuff ' and create their home in its place. It’s incredibly satisfying.
How would you describe yourself?
Passionate. Honest. Energetic. And a great listener. I know that the best way to get to know people is to listen. It's the first step in understanding someone and what they need. And in this field, you need to have loads of energy - you have to not only have your finger on the pulse of what's happening in the area, but be able to go the extra distance to make things happen.
My goal is to make each and every client of mine feel as though they are my only client. I have set the bar very high on personal standards for myself, and that translates to an exceptional experience for my clients.
Interests?
Well, this job is 24/7! When Lair and I can swing it, we like to get away on the lake in our houseboat. And we recently took a trip up the Mississippi on a paddleboat that was really special. Most of the free time we have is spent enjoying our home - it's unique in that it has these huge exposed beams and an amazing view of the lake . It's kind of a landmark around here.
What else would you like people to know about you?
Of course it's my dream to be everyone's favorite Realtor! But the truth is, my goal is to find the right house that's going to make you happy. When people are making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, they want to know they can trust the person who is a partner in that decision. My clients are my first priority - many of whom I am now lucky enough to count as friends!
Anything else you would like to share?
Yes, that my husband Lair is my right hand. Aside from being a phenomenal partner, he continues to amaze me with his ability to dig information out online; to put together the whole story on a place or a house. His quiet patience and analytical mind are the perfect complement to my strengths. We are a terrific team.

Meet My Great Assistant - Connie Coffman...
When you phone Loann's office, Connie's voice will probably be the first one you hear. Outgoing and energetic, Connie is a great source of information about what makes Branson and the Tri-Lakes area so special.
What drew you to this area?
Growing up in St. Louis, my family used to vacation here, so naturally I have happy memories of the good times we had together.
My husband Bob and I have travelled all over the country, but this area has it all! In the same day we can be at our home on the bluff overlooking the Lake watching eagles fly out front, and a few hours later, have dinner and catch a Broadway style show in Branson.
What are a few of your favorite things to do?
Where do I start? I play piano, and like to read and cook. Also, Bob and I have a pontoon boat - after a hectic day we just go out and cruise; it's a great way to relax. That's the beauty of having the Lake right there. We also love the fact that Branson has so much to offer in the way of entertainment; all kinds of music, from rock and roll to country and bluegrass, great shopping, and all kinds of art: paintings, glass, jewelry to name a few.
Describe a typical day.
There is no such thing as typical! My day could include everything from setting up appointments for Loann, organizing the details that are needed for an office to run smoothly, reviewing paperwork , following up on calls and email that come in, and, because I have a brokers license, it also means that I occasionally pitch-hit and show a home for Loann when she needs me to. It's fast paced! I am always challenging myself to try new things, and to come up with different ways to do things better.
What do you love most about your life here?
I live and work in an environment that can only be described as inspiring. The lakes, the woods, the changing of the seasons, plus the Ozark mountains and Branson are just a stone's throw away. Combine that with working with terrific people such as Loann, and its a recipe for happiness and success. I can't say enough good about this area - it has to be experienced first hand.

Create your own dream kitchen, master suite or spa, build an outdoor living room or restore your wood floors now. Improving your property will make your home more enjoyable, help maintain the property values in your neighborhood, and expedite the sale of your home when you are ready for a move.
